Cream Cheese Mints

Coming up in the next few weeks I am throwing my soon to be SISTER-IN-LAW a bridal shower!!!!! I'm so excited for her to become apart of my family and for them to spend forever together. I couldn't have asked for a better person to be my brothers wife and my "sister". I have nothing but respect and admiration for her and all she's done.

Needless to say I'm honored to plan and throw a party in celebration of her becoming part of my family!.

Last night I tried something, that only one person in my family has done and sadly she did not get the chance to show her daughters before she passed. I can say mine were good but definitely not as good as my Aunt Kathy's were.

Cream Cheese Mints

3 Tablespoons (about 3 oz) Cream Cheese
4-4 1/2 cups powered sugar
flavoring
food coloring

Let the cream cheese soften. Beat cream cheese till its fluffy about 2 minutes. Add in the coloring and flavoring. (I used raspberry flavoring and colored it a light purple)
Slowly add in the powered sugar a cup at a time, beating until well combined.
ingredients and
what my dough looks like

(Dough will be soft and elastic.)

using the fork to do designs

Roll dough into small balls about 1/2 teaspoon in size, and place each ball in sugar and roll it around until its covered. Then you can either use a mold, a fork, or your thumb to make a design in them.

Finished mints!!!

Place them on parchment paper in an air tight container. They store in the fridge for 4 weeks.

For my First time making them they were pretty dang good!

Hope you enjoy these as much as we will at the party!!

Have a wonderful day!!!!

Drunken Chicken with Rice

Last night I made my super easy, all-time favorite meal!

I'm not kidding when I say I love cooking easy meals! Anyways this meal is originally made with pork chops, but this girl isnt that big of a fan of pork chops. So I made a few changes.

Drunken Chicken

4-6 Chicken Breasts
1 cup beer (pick your flavor)
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup Brown sugar
1/3 cup Ketchup
Ingredients

Seasoned Chicken
With the chicken I had 2 breast that I cut in half because they were pretty big. I usually just add a couple different spices to them before I cook them up. You can use what ever you like or even go with out any it still tastes just as good!

This time I used Grill Mates Montreal Chicken, and Lawry's season salt.

Heat up about 2 tablespoons of EVOO on medium heat and place the chicken in the skillet to brown, about 5-7mins on each side.

While the chicken is cooking combined all the other ingredients creating the sauce.

Chicken cooking in Sauce

Once the Chicken has browned on both sides then add in the sauce.
Let come to a boil then turn to simmer to let it cook down.

Let it cook between 30-40 mins

Since the sauce has sugar in it you'll get a nice glaze to pour over the chicken

Finished

And there is the finished product.

I just made plan rice nothing to special there but you can also make veggies for a side.

Truthfully this meal is very easy to have any type of side with it..

Hope you Enjoy it as much as I do!!!

Hobo meals

I was trying to find something I could make and it not be something I've made alot of. Well I figured I'd make these and it turns out its pretty simple and has very minimal clean-up!.

Hobos

1 lb burger
1/2 packet onion soup mix
Lowerys season salt
butter
hand full carrots
1 small onion
hand full mushrooms
3 potatoes
hand full asparagus
TinFoil
Before cooking

Preheat the oven to 350
Bake for 45 minuets

This is just what I did. I usually change up the veggies I use and the amounts kind of vary.

First I pattied the burger and add in the onion soup mix
I made 3 patties out of 1 lb. Just pattie them normally it doesnt really matter.
Place the patties on sprayed tinfoil.
Then throw in all the veggies you want.
Sprinkling Lowery's or any seasoning you like
a few slices of butter on top
Place another sheet of foil on top and curl the edges
Place on a cookie sheet

After cooking,
the burger is in there just under all the yummy veggies!

Ulta Haul!

I've been busy this weekend!

Ulta had AMAZING sales this week.
Here's a break down of what I got.

1. I decided I'd try the Kardashion self tanner. I haven't tried it yet, but during the summer I rarely get time off to lay out. I usually just use the tanning beds, but it seems like summer snuck up on me. I've tried FakeBake Flawless and have had much luck so I'm hoping this works way better!.

2. Shea Sugar Body Scrub: Brazilian Nut- This stuff smells so good!. Like Carmel and coffee.. and deliciousness in a tub!!!! I use this about every 3-4 showers, I had a coconut lime one and that smelled heavenly also, but you just rub this all over your body and wash it off and your legs and arms will love you for it!. They feel so soft!!!..

3. NYX :Love in Paris: These are two eye shadow pallets. I'm a sucker for neutral colors. So that's what i got. They are both very pigmented.

4. Revlon: Pink Pout and Stormy Pink. I'm not a pink fan, but these colors are gorg. and they stay on for a long time. Stormy Pink is more of a toned down pink color and more of a matte finish, doesn't feel cake or heavy. Pink Pout is a brighter pink looks pretty under NYX buttercream in Creme Brule

5. Real Techniques: I've hard a lot of good things about these brushes. If you don't know they were created by Samantha Chapman or also known as Pixiwoo on YouTube. http://realtechniques.com/ All the information about the brushes and Samantha you can find here!

6. Ulta Eye Crayons: I dont know the colors off the top of my head and I dont have them in front of me, but like everything I get they are two neutral colors. One is more of a champagne color and the other is more bronze. I've tried them both and didnt notice them creasing or anything. They are awesome to put on in a hurry.

7. NYX Eye pencils- I havent tried these yet but I've heard really good things about them. More info on them to come.

I hope that gives you a little more information on a few products!

Color Vibe

Over the weekend I participated in the Color Vibe. For those of you that don't know what that is, its a 5K run/walk where they spray you with colored cornstarch as you run. It was a blast let me tell you! Here's the group that I ran with. There were a total of 8,000 runners and yes it rained the whole time!. But regardless of the rain it was a blast and I would do it again!.

What did I have for Supper???

Maybe it's just me, but whenever I have to make supper it's like the hardest decision I have to make that day!. I'm all for quick and easy meals, especially during the summer. Who wants to spend a bunch of time in the kitchen instead of enjoying the beautiful nights?

So last night was Mexican night and here is what I made.

Taco Skillet

1lb burger
1 can Tomato soup
1/2 cup pace Picante sauce (however spicy youd like it)
1/2 cup Water
6 tortilla shells, cut into 1 in pieces (you could cut this down to about 4 and still have more then enough)
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Brown the burger
Mix in tomato soup, picante sauce, water, and cut tortilla shells
Bring to a boil and cook for 5 mins
Turn it to low and let simmer
Sprinkle cheese over the top and cover to get the cheese to melt

Taco Skillet--- Looks delicious!!
I also make Mexican Rice with it. For some reason I cant have Mexican food without rice.

Usually I just buy a box rice and make that, but this time I tried making it. Turns out it was pretty easy and I will definitely be making this the next time.

Mexican Rice

1 cup uncooked Long grain rice
2 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon of Butter
1/2 cup salsa or Picante sauce
1/2 teaspoon Cumin
1 teaspoon Garlic Salt

Combine all ingredients into a medium, non-stick skillet. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes. Remove lid, and fluff rice with a fork. Serve!

Hope you try this super easy dinner and you love it as much as I do !

Let me know if you like it and keep wanting me to do have posts like this.

Have a Wonderful weekend!!!!!!!

Super Easy Baked Tortellini

One thing I like as much as makeup and party planning is cooking and baking.

Last night I tried a new recipe. Its super easy and relatively quick.  How amazing does that look!?

You'll need :
1 bag of tortellini
1 jar of Alfredo sauce
1/2 jar of spaghetti sauce
shredded mozzarella cheese
shredded Parmesan cheese

Pre-heat the oven to 350 Degrees
Cook the tortellini according to the instructions on the bag
Drain and toss with the sauce mixture.
Place in an 8x8 glass pan
Top with cheese

Cook for 15mins
Then Broil it until the cheese looks all ooy gooy and yummy!..

Then dig in and ENJOY!

You can add chicken to it pretty easy but its definitely a dish that can replace plain old mac and cheese.

Skin care routine

Recently I've been very into making sure I wash my face everyday twice a day. Someone once gave me this good advice  "no matter what always wash your face before bed" well lately I've been loving these products.

The Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing gel followed by the Cucumber Cleansing Lotion. It really get in your pores and deep cleans, I love it!

At night I also use the Pond's evening soothe cleansing wipes to get my makeup off before I wash it. These smell amazing! I uses the original kind before these and they did work the same but once I smelt these I fell in love!

After I get done washing I use the Jose Maran 100% argon oil. This stuff is AMAZING!!!! I wake up feeling so refreshed and my face feels super soft!

The two months that I've been doing this I've noticed so much difference in my face and I love it!

Coming Soon!

So over the last few months I have been quite busy. My brother is getting married so I have been doing a lot of planning and designing for it. I have also gone shopping a lot trying out new products. I'm so excited to show you all what I've been up to with the up coming posts!
